Rene Robert Mueller is Principal of Rene Robert Mueller, Architect, PLLC in Lauderdale By The Sea, FL & Patterson, NY, founded in 1988. Rene was born in Switzerland in 1953 and grew up in Frauenfeld and Zürich.
In his 30+year career he has worked on prestigious assignments with reputable clientele such as the Building Commission of the Archdiocese of New York. He is known for both new construction and historical restoration for a wide range of residential, commercial, resort, institutional, multifamily and estate projects.
He is licensed and certified in NY, NJ, CT, FL, IL and VT, MD and DE is a member of the AIA (American Institute of Architects), and the NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards), and has been awarded the LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-Accredited Professional) credential by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
He received a Bachelors’ degree (HTL-Hoehere Technische Lehre) in Architecture and Engineering from the Abend Technikum Zürich in 1978. While attending ATZ he worked with the esteemed architectural and historical preservation firm German & Stulz in Zürich. There he helped plan the renovation of Zürich’s landmark St. Peter’s Cathedral.
Rene relocated to California in 1978 and worked with Sandy & Babcock (now SB Architects), a high- profile residential architectural firm where he helped plan the well-known Kiawah Island Windswept in South Carolina, among other projects.
